Poorva Gayake

I'm a 22 year old, Industrial Designer and freshly out of college.
‍I'm from Pune studied Industrial/Product Design at Anant National University, Ahmedabad.

here's how I think

I consider myself a contemplative individual, which has made me an inherently keen observer empath, and an analytical performer, inclined towards narratives and questions surrounding designs offering innovative solutions. I am constant learner, hardworking, iterative, actively engaged, and a collaborative person. Moreover, there’s a space that takes people away from the monotony of life, and that’s wherein I like to intervene to design those experiences, but not solely. Design is a responsible response, and as a designer, I believe in asking myself now and then, “How can one design a world where it’s easier and more fun to do the right thing?” I believe in designing experiences that people would enjoy and be willing to support, rather than feeling like it’s a task. Furthermore, it should find justification from within why this design should exist, why the story can be told, and how far it can contribute. There’s a certain balance that I seek in things, with which I like to bring out the aspects of playfulness and interactivity in designs with sophistication. I love working with narratives in my designs, and only then do they seem complete. These narratives need to be presented to the users honestly and subtly, as then they’ll choose to be participants in that experience. I’ve been told, and I also agree, that being smart, thoughtful, and generous are some things that I strive for while approaching challenges and executing solutions in both my personal and professional life.

I've more of an inclined interest towards design innovation research with other skill sets being industrial designer. I have rendered skills for finding out critical gaps and behavioral problem-solving as I'm really inclined towards the cognitive aspects of design and humanity-centric design approach. I also find myself quite driven and curiously speculative in my design process, finding originality while cleverly innovating. If I could associate a few words for myself and how tend to be, those would be thoughtful, curious, experimentative, smart, empathetic, and fun.

here's what I'm looking for

I'm a freshly graduated Industrial Designer completing my Capstone Project in mobility design with Enfost Design Pvt. Ltd and Openbyke, Bangalore.
